Why I ditched sugar in my tea for HONEY?

by: Ella Mae Rodriguez

There is nothing like a sip of iced cold tea during the summer or even while sunbathing under the sun. Not only does it bring a kick of sweetness but it is also packed with nutrients refined processed sugar could never. Here’s a great kickstart to your healthy summer TEA body.

Ingredients:

• Hot water

• Tea

• Fresh raw honey

Optional

• Ice

• Milk

Preparation time: Approx. 5 mins.

Here’s a simple recipe for your refreshing tea:

1. Prepare your cup and pour hot water in itThis may contain: a tea kettle pouring water into a cup on a table with flowers in the backgroundPhoto by Han Bui

2. Next add tea bags of a tea of your choice (elderberries, green tea, hibiscus, and cinnamon) - you can even mix it up if you want.

Always make sure to purchase tea that not only tastes good for the tongue but packed with nutrients for the body. Check out The Little BeeKeeper for some not just taste yum but also body yum teas fit for your dream summer body.

3. Then steep your tea for about 3-5 minutes.

4. While waiting, reach for your favorite glass and metal straw.

5. Prepare your fresh local raw honey and add two tablespoons of it and spread it around the corners of your glass.

 6. After 3-5 mins remove the tea bags from the cup and add ice in your cup (make sure not to transfer the hot tea to your glass while it's still hot).

7. Once cold, pour your tea onto your glass of water and enjoy your refreshing honey iced tea.
